Plumbing Commercial
May 12, 2011

The commercial is finished except for a few tweaks! Here's a couple photos from the live action part.

The new DSLRs are coming out with very high quality, proffessional video capabilities. For travel ease and the purposes needed for this film, we adapted the setup from our larger camera we have used on other films to fit our Cannon 7D. It worked wonderfully and the footage looks great!

New Website Design!
March 21, 2011

A new website design is here! Ashley thought it was time to spiff it up a little.

In other news, Alone Yet Not Alone is still in post-production. As of now we don't know of a release date. Ashley and Ethan hope to be doing some visual effects work on that when it is ready.

Ashley is slowly working on the next book in between other projects, including a live action/animation commercial. She and Ethan will be flying to sunny, warm Florida for a week of filming followed by a couple weeks of rigorous animation! They are both very excited! Hopefully we will have some pictures for you when they return.

A New Film
October 6, 2010

Check out the new items in our store! We have added some sewing and woodcrafting items.

Ashley is currently working on a film called "Alone Yet Not Alone" based on the book by Tracy Leininger. You can see a splash page for it at: www.aloneyetnotalone.com They haven't put any content up yet, but keep looking for it! You can also find the book on Amazon and numerous other bookstores.

Unfortunatly this project has slowed Ashley's writing for the time being, but she is eager to finish the second book in the "Journeys of the Heart" series and is continuing work on it.

Second Book on Its Way!
August 16, 2010

Ashley has been working on the sequel to Hearts Journey Home in between her other projects. She is getting excited about bringing it together. She would greatly appreciate prayer as she writes this, that God would direct in what and how she writes.

Hearts Journey Home in CBD!
May 7, 2010

Hearts Journey Home is listed in CBD (Christian Book Distributors). If you've read the book, you can go and write a review on their website! Go to www.christianbook.com and type in "Hearts Journey Home". It'll come up in the search. This is rather exciting for Ashley!

In other news, Ashley is working on the second book. The characters are finding themselves in the midst of an exciting story.

A New Name!
April 21, 2010

Wow! After this long silence we come back to you with amazing news! A long friendship has blossomed into a marriage and your author Ashley Elisabeth Crook is now Ashley Elisabeth Ledden, happily married to Ethan Ledden as of March 27th! She has worked with him on numerous films and many other projects. Now Ashley just needs to decide how to write her name on her books. Send suggestions to contact@trestle2treasure.com

Ashley is eagerly looking forward to continuing to capture the lives of her characters with ink and paper for her readers!

Also, Ashley and Judy, her mom, are still working on some marketing for Hearts Journey Home.

Life Carries On!
January 1, 2010

From the author, Ashley:

It's been a while since we've updated here. Wow! Time surely does fly. I can't believe it is now the year 2010, it even feels weird to type it!

We here at Trestle 2 Treasure hope you had a wonderful Christmas! My mom and I are currently working on some marketing for Hearts Journey Home. And don't worry, the second book has not fallen by the wayside. I am still working on it, though Christmas and other happenings have interruped it some. But this is part of what I love about writing, I can experience life as I write, and that life finds it's way into the stories, making them more real and reaching into the hearts of the readers. I can't wait to finish this book, already the characters and their unfolding lives are capturing my heart and imagination. I hopes it will yours too!

I hope your year is filled with joy and a renewal of healing and peace in your hearts! May God bless you!

~Ashley

Second Book in the Journeys of the Heart Trilogy begun!
September 8, 2009

Ashley has begun writing the second book in the Journeys of the Heart trilogy! She is enjoying bringing the characters to life through the written word again and creating new ones. She's also having fun meeting the new characters as the Trestles' lives cross theirs. Perhaps soon you can too! ;)

Also, author Rachel Starr Thomson featured Ashley and Hearts Journey Home on her blog for three days. Check it out!

Creation Episodes Rough Edit and Penny Nearing Completion!
September 1, 2009

A rough edit of all the creation episodes are now completed. Ashley edited one of them and helped with another. They're looking cool!

Penny is also almost in the last stage of editing... then comes the sound score and audio work!

Check out www.filmweavers.com for more information on both these projects!

Done Shooting the Creation Episodes!
August 7, 2009

After much work... and fun! :) ... the three creation episodes are shot out! Thank you all for your prayers, we needed them. Now for the editing stage. We've already begun! Look at the filmweavers blog for more information and stills!

Creation Episodes
August 3, 2009

Ashley is down in Missouri helping as Assistant Camera with three short creation epidsodes. It's been a crazy shoot with a "skeleton crew" of four. Two epsodes are shot out, but for this last episode, we will have a crew of only three. Fun times! It's been a neat project. To read more about it and see some produciton stills, visit www.filmweavers.com.

The Silence Finally Speaks!
July 7, 2009

Wow! It's been a while since we've updated! That's because a lot has been going on and we have all been very busy!

Ashley helped finish the shooting for Penny... it's now IN THE CAN! ... meaning all the filming part is done. Now it's in the editing stage. Keep up with it's progress at www.filmweavers.com.

Judy and Ashley are gearing up to get into more marketing for Hearts Journey Home. Larry has already been telling people about it wherever he goes. Ashley is so excited by the stories of how people have enjoyed it and how their lives have been touched by reading it. There's nothing like seeing people enjoy your work and God working through it! If you haven't ordered your copy yet, don't miss out! You can order it today at our online store.

New Site Design!
May 18, 2009

Well folks, here it is! The new site design! Enjoy exploring!

May 15, 2009

Ashley has been busy working with Filmweavers on their feature film The Penny. She has gone back to Wisconsin for a couple more pickup shoots. For updates on The Penny, visit their website at www.filmweavers.com. She is working as 2nd Assistant Camera on the film and enjoying herself quite a bit!

She also helped them film a couple fun commercials for a contest on Right.org. The first part of the contest is based on how many views you get, so watch as many times as you want! It only registers one view per computer per day but you could watch it every day on all your computers... ;) And, by all means, tell your friends about it! Have fun watching!

Also, Ashley has been working on creating a new design for this website. We should be putting it up soon!

January 20, 2009

Wow, it's hard to believe it's a new year already! We trust it has been a good one for you all so far.

We know some people have been having trouble veiwing the commercial for Hearts Journey Home. It may be because you have not installed the QuickTime player or because you don't have the newest version downloaded. We have now included a link to the download on the Hearts Journey Home page if you would like to download it and try to play the commercial again. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please let us know if you still can't veiw it and we will try to continue to iron out the technical problems.

In other news, Ashley and Judy (her mom) have been working on marketing for Hearts Journey Home. It's been quite the experience! :)

December 27, 2008

Ashley is back from working on The Penny! To read more about the project, go to Filmweavers' website.

Now that she has been home for a bit (since December 24th), she has been working on her other projects... autographing copy after copy of her book - they'll be on the way to their owners on Monday! - and tons of other things, among which is getting the commercial onto the website. That's right! If you go to the Hearts Journey Home page, you can see the short version of the commercial! She still hopes to get a longer version done sometime too, but she is leaving in less than a week to do some pickup shots with The Penny and then will be off to the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival where Pendragon: Sword of His Father, the movie she worked on earlier this summer, is a semi-finalist. Then she will be back home for a bit and will be doing some marketing for Hearts Journey Home. And perhaps she can start the sequel soon too! Plus there are a couple other projects tentatively planned. But, hey, busy life is fun, as long as it's the right kind of busy. ;)

We hope you all had a Merry Christmas!

November 24, 2008

Pre-orders for New York are now available! Thank you for your patience!

Ashley has been trying to get the commercial on the website, but she has been quite busy with Filmweavers' production, The Penny. To read about the project, check Filmweavers Blog.

November 5, 2008

The short version of the Hearts Journey Home commercial is now available for viewing! Ashley had really hoped to get the longer version done before she left for Wisconsin, but she won't be able to, so we are putting up the short version for you to enjoy! It only includes about a third of the footage we shot for the longer version. It sure was tough choosing which scenes to cut in order to get it down to the one minute allowed for the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival.

Our actors did a fantastic job and we hope you can see more of them in the longer version someday. Thank you to all of those who invested in this project! It was fun working with you all!

To see the commercial, Go to the Hearts Journey Home webpage!

October 31, 2008

Due to tax laws, we must postpone taking pre-orders for anyone in NEW YORK STATE. So, if you live in New York, we ask that you please check back and order later. We're very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. However, we believe in honesty and want to comply with state laws. Thank you for understanding! Pre-orders for New York should be back up within 2-3 weeks. Pre-orders are NOT postponed for those living outside New York State!

Due to these same issues, the projected release date has been changed to December 1st, still in time to get your book before Christmas!

If you have any questions, you can email us at contact@trestle2treasure.com.

Thank you!

Pre-orders for Hearts Journey Home are now available at a special price! Visit our store and order your copy today!

October 20, 2008

Ashley has been feverishly working on her book, editing and pulling together business details to get it into print. Please pray for her as she tries to finish everything, including sending the files to the printer with a completed cover by November 10th, when she will be leaving to help with Filmweavers' next project, a feature film entitled "The Penny".

Unfortunately, because of her deadline, she isn't sure she will be able to get a copy of the commercial on here before she leaves, though she will do her best!

Pre-orders for Hearts Journey Home will be available at a special price soon, so don't forget to check back!

Thank you all for your prayers and support!

Another big THANK YOU! to all those who helped make this commercial possible, and most of all to the Lord!

Now Ashley will be working on editing the Hearts Journey Home book, hopefully to finish it by Thankgiving! She will also be working on a longer version of the commercial/trailer. Hopefully it's finished soon and ready to put on here for you to see!

October 1, 2008

The short version of the commercial is DONE! Praise the Lord. We are taking it to the post office to send to the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival just in time for the deadline. Ashley stayed up all night working on it. In spite of a few glitches, the Lord was faithful and it is finished! We should be releasing it for public veiwing soon. We should also have some production stills for you soon! ...After Ashley has a chance to catch up with real life outside of editing. :) Thank you all so much for your prayers!

September 18, 2008

The final shoot is completed! Praise the Lord! Ashley is now editing the footage together. We'll have photos for you soon! Please continue to keep this project in prayer. A lot must be done in the next week and a half.

September 12, 2008

Almost all of the shooting is done! Praise the Lord! The actors were awesome to work with and we all enjoyed ourselves, even though we were really tired at the end of our long days of shooting. Now for the race to the finish. Ashley is creating a book cover for Hearts Journey Home so she can have that in one of the scenes... the last one left to shoot. Then she will be editing and trying to find some music to go with the commercial. We'll post more later... hopefully with some pictures!

A big thank you to all who have helped us - actors, those who voluteered props and locations, those who helped on the crew, and those who prayed. Without you this could not have happened. And without God, it definately wouldn't have happened. Please continue to keep us in your prayers!

September 1, 2008

Yesterday we set off to scout locations after church. It was exciting to find a couple of promising places! Now we are trying to pull a shooting schedule together and find the rest of the actors and locations we need. Please continue to pray that everything will come together for this project.

We announce that... we are now able to announce our secret project! Although we have yet to pull many details together to make it happen, we have set the ball in motion for the project and if the Lord wills, we are confident it will happen. It seems almost impossible to us at the moment, but the element of impossibility always makes things more exciting, right? Especially when the Lord is involved, because He always seems to find ways to amaze us.

So, what is this project, you ask? It is a video advertisement for Hearts Journey Home. This is being created with the intent to glorify the Lord, through the creating of it, showing of it, and through the item it advertises. We still have much we need to do for it, including finding more actors. So, if you are in the Western New York area, and want to volunteer for a brief acting part or if you have some sound recording equipment you would like to volunteer the use of (and perhaps your skills operating it as well), or if you think you could help in another way, please e-mail us and we will get you more details. And, most of all, please keep this project in prayer! Thank you!

This announcement may cause you to ask, ”So, is Hearts Journey Home almost finished?“ And we answer, "Yes!" Ashley is doing a final edit (which is on hold while she works on the advertisement) and hopes to have it finished by the middle of November. After working on this manuscript off and on since January 2006, this is 'almost done' to her, and very exciting! Please keep this project in prayer as well! If you are praying for these projects, we would love to know! So, if you would like to, drop us an e-mail and let us know! It's always encouraging to hear from those who are praying.

August 11, 2008

Ashley is working on Hearts Journey Home, but life has been busy and progress is slow. But slow is not necessarily bad. Now that she has had a break from her story, it is easier for her to do this final - yes, you did read final - edit. Now to form a serious coalition to confiscate it and send it to the printer if she attempts to edit it yet again. It seems a story is never 'finished', or so she tells us.

July 5, 2008

A lot has happened since we last updated here.

Ashley had the opportunity to travel to the set of The Pendragon Project by Burns Family Studios for a little over a week to be a part of the crew. She enjoyed herself immensely and learned a lot, both about filmmaking and also about her relationship with the Lord. She also found out that she loves decorating sets as well as camera work and acting... and just plain being on set and helping out. One of her favorite aspects of filmmaking is the teamwork involved, and on The Pendragon Project, the teamwork is amazing. The entire crew was such a blessing! She really enjoyed getting to know them. For more details about The Pendragon Project, visit their blog.

If anyone needs help on a movie being made for God's glory, contact Ashley, she'd be glad to consider helping out!

Currently there is a secret project under way. Why is it secret? Because it is in the beginnings of creation and it's unsure whether it will actually be birthed. We wouldn't want to dissapoint you, would we? :) For now, we'd appreciate it if you would lift this project up in prayer that the Lord's will would be done regarding it.

We hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July!

Ashley has been editing the short film we have chosen to entitle When Parents Depart. All that remains until completion are a few tweeks and some music editing. She has also almost completed a short montage film of her dog.

Progress is slowly being made on Hearts Journey Home and Ashley still hopes to have it done and in print at least by the end of the summer.

March 7, 2008

We have been working on a fun short film portraying the benefits of honoring your parents. It has been fun for the rest of the family to learn more about the process of making a film as Ashley tries to teach them what she knows.

In other news, work on Hearts Journey Home continues as we draw within a few months of the hoped for release date. Ashley has asked someone to do the cover artwork for her after deciding it would be better for her to focus on the written words and leave the artwork to someone else this time.

And don't forget to check the used car business page as it is always being updated.

"What is written without effort is in general read without pleasure."
- Samuel Johnson

Ashley is still editing Hearts Journey Home, but hopes to have it in print by the end of the summer, Lord willing. It is amazing how much work goes into writing a book... and how much fun!

The movie Ashley and Jordan helped with, The Heartwood Dagger, is airing on TBN tonight! Visit the Filmweavers website for more information and follow the links to find a station near you!

Happy New Year!

We now have a new filmmaking page! Have fun checking it out!

December 26, 2007

Check out our new photo on the About Us page!

We trust you all had a wonderful Christmas. Though it has been a very busy time for us, we have enjoyed it immensely! Seeing friends and family, hearing and playing Christmas music, and being reminded of the greatest gift of all - Jesus Christ coming to earth and paying for our sins that we may live with Him in Heaven and have a relationship with Him even now.

Ashley is still working on her book and designing a cover.

October 27, 2007

God has really been blessing the used car business this past month. In the chilling weather, Shiloh, Josiah, and Ashley detailed our most recent purchase, and had very cold fingers by the time they finished washing it. But it was worth the effort! It sold so quickly we didn't even get it onto the website before God brought us a buyer!

The long-awaited Legacy trailer is now available for veiwing on the site! Click here to visit the Legacy trailer project page where you can veiw the movie.

Just in is a new page for the used car business, so the content that used to be in the side-bar is now moved to its own page. We also have cars listed from a fellow dealer's lot. Have fun checking it out!

August 16, 2007

Ashley is still testing out ideas for her book cover and is beginning some sketches she hopes to be able to use for it. She is still deciding whether to do the sketches and paintings herself or to try to find someone else to do them. This is one of the most important parts since the cover is usually what sells, or doesn't sell, a book.

August 6, 2007

Things are staying busy here with our team. Ashley has decided to do a little more editing work on “Hearts Journey Home” before printing, and the intended publishing date will be pushed back a little. She is also currently planning a cover for the book.

The car business is coming along slowly but surely. We actually have a picture of Ashley doing one of her jobs - photography. This is an area of work it is difficult to get a photo of, since the one taking pictures is usually behind the camera.

The new ending for “Hearts Journey Home” is completed and all that remains is another edit to polish it up, and the cover design... and, of course, printing and publishing, which will take a couple of months to process.

Another of our current “projects” is a new Auto Business that has yet to be named. Larry has been selling cars and working on starting a used car business. Shiloh and Josiah have been his detail crew, with Judy taking up the office end, Jordan operating as the “informer” (sharing the news with those she comes across who need cars), and Ashley preparing to create a sign and website for the business - once it has a name, of course.

“Hearts Journey Home” is nearing completion! Ashley is currently adding a new ending and working on a cover design and illustration. Of course, “nearing completion” could mean a few more months of work, but we hope to have the book in print by the end of the summer, Lord willing.

December 6, 2006

Our current project is a book entitled “Hearts Journey Home”. The Author, Ashley, began writing it in January of 2006. So far the rough draft is completed. Okay, okay! She insists I clarify, she estimates she must have completed a million rough drafts so far. We won't tell her it couldn't have been that many, but I'm sure it feels like it to her. Editing is basically complete on the first ten chapters. Here is a word from the author herself:

“For the most part, I love writing. There are times, though, when my brain just refuses to be creative and I must lay it aside (the writing, not my brain) for a time until I can bring my rebellious brain into subjection. When you come to the editing process, where you have read the same paragraph over and over until you are absolutely certain no one would like it because it bores you to death, that's when it takes courage to push on and keep at it. I am very grateful to my family, who is reading it aloud and helping me with the editing process, mostly by showing me it really isn't so terrible as I presumed and bringing my attention to any times when I may have left out information I knew, but my poor readers had no clue it even existed. The highest thanks goes to God, my Father and Saivior who has helped me so much in the bringing together of this manuscript.”
